Job Title: Patient Accounts Specialist

Foundations for Living is seeking a highly skilled Patient Accounts Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Accounts Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving patient account inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve account issues via phone and written correspondence.
  • Document all internal and external inquiries concerning patient accounts.
  • Act as the first line of support for patients and third-party payers.
  • Root cause issues and attempt to resolve.
  • Escalate problem accounts to management team for assistance and resolution.
  • Communicate resolution to responsible parties and guarantors.
  • Respond to patient inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Work with facility and internal departments to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Maintain working knowledge of call routing system and patient accounting system.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Customer-focused, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with customer service and 1-3 years healthcare business office experience preferred.
