POSITION OVERVIEW:
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is in search of a Technical Support Specialist to enhance our team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support sales efforts by delivering exceptional pre and post-sales assistance to our clientele. This role will involve fieldwork to support our regional team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for clients.
- Provide customer-centric technical assistance for physical measurement devices, including universal testing machines, dynamic and fatigue testing machines, hardness testers, and particle size analyzers.
- Execute installations, software training, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting at client sites.
- Engage in sales calls alongside regional sales and service representatives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or Material Science. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of relevant technologies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
