About the Professional Development Network

Teaching Strategies is recognized as a leading provider of innovative resources that empower early educators to support each child's development and learning journey. For over 25 years, our mission has been to support educators effectively. We strive to ensure that the professional development our clients receive is not only impactful and engaging but also encourages educators to reflect on their practices. To achieve this, we are looking for thoughtful and dynamic trainers to join our Professional Development Network (PDN).

Role of a Professional Development Network Consultant

In this role, you will represent Teaching Strategies by delivering training sessions both virtually and in-person across the contiguous United States on our educational solutions.

This is an independent contractor position for a duration of four months.

Location: USA; International

We are particularly interested in consultants/trainers located in the Western and Midwestern regions or near major airports, preferably hubs, with the following qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Expertise in Literacy
  • Experience in Private and/or Family Childcare
  • Background in Public Preschool
  • Knowledge of Special Needs Education
  • Experience with Multilanguage Learners

Desired Traits for Contractors:

  • A passion for engaging with diverse educators from various backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice and conduct training sessions during the summer months.
  • Advanced understanding of early childhood education best practices and adult learning theories.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, problem-solving, and collaboration, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective presentation skills for both in-person and virtual environments, utilizing various engagement strategies.
  • Adaptability and the ability to pivot in response to changing circumstances.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing tools to facilitate service delivery.
  • Proficiency in technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office365, Zoom, Google applications, and others.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete necessary documentation and follow-up tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, curriculum/instruction, speech/language pathology, education administration, school psychology, or a related field (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
  • Experience with Teaching Strategies' curricular solutions.
  • Proven experience in delivering training to groups of up to 30 participants over consecutive days.
  • Experience in coaching and consulting educators on best practices in diverse classroom settings.
