Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at AMR Corp. as a Mechanical Specialist. This is a second-level position that requires 2 years of experience as an automotive or truck mechanic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Assist other technicians as needed, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and safe practices.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Utilize maintenance databases to document completed tasks and job assignments.
  • Attend mandatory fleet training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Shop Foreman or Shop Lead Mechanic, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including information systems security protocols.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Ensure vehicles are repaired and maintained correctly and in a timely fashion.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to vehicle breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time, ensuring a high level of professionalism.
  • Accurately account for all parts and materials, maintaining a high level of integrity.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, interacting with colleagues and external contacts in a professional manner.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all personnel, demonstrating professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications
  • Must have a current valid driver's license.
  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 2 years of verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper/Associate experience.
  • 2 ASE or equivalent Certifications (Truck or Automotive series), preferably Brake and Steering/Suspension.
  • MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification.
  • 2 consecutive satisfactory yearly performance appraisals.
Experience
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on memos, letters, various documents, and repair manuals.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions, demonstrating a high level of competence.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles.
