Position Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to collaborate with one of our esteemed partners in the manufacturing and aerospace sector. In this role, you will take charge of negotiating business-to-business commercial contracts, which includes overseeing contract management and cost optimization.
Your primary responsibilities will encompass making sourcing decisions that align with strategic objectives, ensuring competitiveness, and managing costs effectively. Additionally, you may be tasked with streamlining the supplier base to cultivate strong relationships that fulfill category requirements.
This position involves up to 50% travel, both domestically and internationally, to engage with suppliers and visit various office locations. The work schedule is hybrid, offering flexibility.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- Experience in negotiating supplier contracts is essential.
- Strategic sourcing experience of at least 5 years is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Purchasing or Project Management.
- Experience managing a commodity portfolio.
- Background in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with machining or mechanical component manufacturing processes.
