Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:
The Procurement Associate plays a critical role in managing the procurement process, collaborating with various cross-functional teams to optimize both short-term and long-term category strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of global category strategies focused on cost, quality, delivery, and supplier base for specific sub-categories within Site Equipment.
- Review and manage open orders, issue purchase orders upon approval, and create requisitions as needed.
- Solicit and evaluate RFQs from suppliers while monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely restocking of locations.
- Verify requisition requests for accuracy and prepare purchase orders for suppliers and vendors.
- Assess inventory quantities to determine material needs and place orders accordingly.
- Engage with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and address any issues such as shortages or late deliveries.
- Maintain and review purchasing documentation, including files, reports, and price lists.
- Process RMA requests after receiving necessary approvals from the Procurement Manager.
- Conduct strategic procurement activities across various purchasing categories to enhance sourcing and profit margins.
- Build and sustain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient flow of goods and maintain effective communication.
- Keep organized records of both hard copy and electronic purchasing orders alongside original documents.
- Assist in the scheduling and organization of procurement department activities.
- Support the department with weekly and monthly reporting as well as month-end procedures.
- Provide assistance to Sales representatives with both domestic and international purchasing needs.
- Reach out to manufacturers for RFQs and relay information to Sales representatives promptly.
- Work Schedule: Flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, concluding at 4:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant procurement experience required.
- Experience with ERP systems (minimum of 1 year) is essential (e.g., Sage, Oracle).
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficient in Windows software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAGE.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
