Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of a comprehensive global category strategy focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and supplier base for a specific sub-category within Site Equipment.
  • Manage open orders and issue purchase orders following the necessary approvals, while creating requisitions as needed.
  • Solicit quotes from suppliers and monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate restocking for multiple locations.
  • Review requisition requests for accuracy and prepare purchase orders for suppliers and vendors.
  • Assess inventory quantities to determine if additional materials are required and place orders accordingly.
  • Engage with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and address any issues related to shortages or delays.
  • Maintain and review purchasing files, reports, and pricing lists to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) upon receiving approval from the Procurement Manager.
  • Conduct strategic procurement activities across various purchasing categories to enhance sourcing and profit margins.
  • Build and sustain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to foster collaboration.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a seamless flow of goods and maintain effective communication.
  • Keep both hard copy and electronic purchasing records organized alongside original purchase orders.
  • Assist in the scheduling and organization of procurement department tasks.
  • Support the department with weekly and monthly reporting, as well as month-end procedures.
  • Collaborate with Sales representatives on both domestic and international purchasing needs.
  • Reach out to manufacturers for quotes and provide timely information to Sales representatives.
  • Work schedule: Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, concluding at 4:30 PM.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant procurement experience required.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (minimum 1 year of experience) such as Sage or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in Windows software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAGE.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
