Position Overview:

CTG is looking to fill a Procurement Specialist role. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage all procurement activities, collaborating with various cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and effectiveness by aligning both short-term and long-term category strategies. The Procurement Specialist will be tasked with developing a comprehensive global category strategy that encompasses cost, quality, delivery, and supply base considerations within the Site Equipment sub-category.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage open purchase orders.
  • Generate purchase orders following necessary approvals.
  • Create and manage requisitions.
  • Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to suppliers and monitor inventory levels for restocking.
  • Ensure requisition requests are accurate and prepare purchase orders for suppliers/vendors.
  • Assess inventory levels to determine ordering needs.
  • Communicate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues.
  • Maintain and review purchasing documentation, reports, and pricing lists.
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) upon approval.
  • Engage in strategic procurement across various purchasing categories to enhance profit margins.
  • Build and sustain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient goods flow and communication.
  • Keep both physical and electronic purchasing records organized.
  • Support scheduling and organizational needs within the procurement department.
  • Assist in generating weekly and monthly reports as well as month-end procedures.
  • Provide support to sales representatives for both domestic and international procurement.
  • Contact manufacturers for RFQs and relay information to sales representatives promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 1 year of ERP experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in Windows software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAGE.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement or related fields required.
Excellent communication skills in English are essential, along with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
