Position: Executive Sales Specialist in Cardiopulmonary
The Executive Sales Specialist role is tailored for a high-achieving Pharmaceutical Sales Professional with expertise, experience, and established relationships in the Cardiology and Rare Disease sectors. This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of customers, stakeholders, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. As an Executive Sales Specialist, you will cultivate enduring business relationships with key clients and acquire in-depth knowledge of the primary drivers, influences, and prescribing trends within the designated territory. This role requires a nuanced understanding of the unique demands of rare disease markets while delivering high-quality consultative insights. You will be tasked with promoting, coordinating, and selling complex products and services, as well as managing key accounts and executing sales and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
This position is primarily residence-based in the United States, covering specific territories. Candidates should reside within or near the designated area.
The main responsibilities of the Executive Sales Specialist in Cardiopulmonary include:
- Establishing and nurturing positive relationships with key decision-makers to enhance market penetration and drive growth within existing accounts while expanding outreach to new providers;
- Developing strategic territory sales plans that outline objectives and resource allocation for key customers;
- Securing formulary acceptance and comprehending specialty pharmacy distribution models;
- Acquiring a profound scientific understanding of clinical literature and the competitive landscape;
- Collaborating with customers as a trusted partner, proactively identifying potential patients and facilitating their access to therapy;
- Marketing and selling Bayer products in a compliant manner;
- Maintaining timely administrative tasks, including expense reporting and product certifications, while staying informed on product and clinical developments;
- Adhering to Bayer's compliance standards and pharmaceutical regulations;
- Exhibiting a high level of accountability and self-motivation to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
Qualifications
Bayer is seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales;
- Strong background in promoting products within the Cardiovascular therapeutic area;
- Demonstrated success in driving sales within defined customer segments and territories;
- Exceptional consultative selling skills and customer service orientation;
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel as needed;
- Ability to meet customer credentialing and safety requirements.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Business or a Clinical discipline;
- Experience in promoting products in Hospital, Heart Failure, or Rare Disease therapeutic areas;
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience.
Compensation includes a competitive salary, with additional potential for bonuses or commissions, along with comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, vision, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off.
