We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team at Creighton School District 14. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administration of payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all local, state, and federal statutes.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise staff, prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring staff is trained and follows policies and procedures.
- Set up and maintain employee basic information, job assignments for Educational Support Personnel, and verify data entry for accuracy on Pro-forma.
- Process various payroll deductions, distribute in compliance with all local, state, and federal statutes, and assure that all payroll information is in balance with and carries the same account codes as the general ledger.
- Assist in the understanding of payroll calculations and other payroll-related matters, process employee wage verification requests, and prepare various reports and analysis as requested.
- Communicate with outside agencies regarding payroll matters, manage the administrative functions of designated programs, and effectively execute processes and projects of verifying organizational risk.
- Plan, organize, and manage the activities of an assigned division, overseeing the development and administration of policies, procedures, programs, goals, and objectives, and ensuring regulatory compliance of division operations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Associate's degree in a field related to the assignment and five years of progressively responsible professional experience that includes prior lead or supervisory experience.
- Required certifications/licenses: IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC).
In-person attendance is an essential function of this classification.
