Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in West Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and compliance requirements. Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP) and experience in the construction industry are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and on time for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations, especially those related to multi-state payroll processing.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of certified payroll reports as required for government contracts.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on multi-state payroll
  • Experience processing payroll through Paycom
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with certified payroll processes is a plus
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional - CPP) is highly desirable but not required.

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
