Job Summary

California Closets Corporate seeks a seasoned Payroll Manager to oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing, compliance with government regulations, and strategic direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of payroll, including routine processing, tax and benefits compliance, and reporting.
  • Analyze payroll processes and controls, identify efficiencies, and drive change.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Contribute to the company's strategic direction based on internal and industry knowledge.
  • Develop and communicate team or functional vision and goals.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Lead team through internal performance skills, coaching, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Provide daily, monthly, and annual feedback through internal goal setting and review process and annual performance meetings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • 5+ years experience related to Payroll Management, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience partnering, influencing, and building relationships with business leaders virtually.
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent customer service and employee relation skills and abilities.
