Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enterprise Payroll systems to manage payroll functions, including wage deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Manage 401k contributions, benefits, and other deductions.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll information to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
- Handle payroll tax responsibilities, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
- Process garnishment calculations and deductions.
- Work closely with HR and other departments to improve payroll and HR processes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Enterprise Payroll systems.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including wages, benefits, and taxes.
- Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
- Experience with 401k administration and garnishment calculations.
- Strong auditing skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
