About the Role

Core One is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Director of Business Expansion. This key role will be responsible for driving the company's growth and expansion into new markets and business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Core One's strategic goals and market position.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the federal IC contracting space.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with program managers, executive leaders, and functional staff to support business development and capture/proposal efforts.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of high-quality proposals that meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Business Strategy: Develop and implement business strategies that drive growth, expansion, and profitability.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years in the DoD/Intelligence Community contracting space, including at least 5 years' program/portfolio management experience or 5 years business development experience with responsibility for a relevant market or customer base.
  • Skills: Ability to directly lead customer engagement with key customer seniors and contracting/acquisition officials, and experience developing quality presentation materials to support customer engagements.
  • Clearance: Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for upgrade to SCI access.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive industry contacts within the business community that is relevant to the DoD/IC customer.
  • Proposal Experience: Experience contributing to proposal color reviews for competitive federal opportunities valued at >$25M.
  • Costing and Pricing: Experience supporting costing/pricing for federal proposals, including development of appropriate labor rates, and integrating price-to-win analysis and competitive intelligence into bid pricing.
