We are a leader in the medical device, defense, homeland security, and technology industries, serving Fortune 500 OEMs. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team.


Job Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including hiring and interviewing staff, managing employee compensation and benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees, supervisors, and managers on all HR-related matters, providing expert guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
  • Review and track compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, and professional licensure.
  • Lead the entire recruiting lifecycle, including creative sourcing solutions, interviewing, background checks, and pre-employment screenings, and coordinate onboarding to ensure a seamless new-hire experience.
  • Set and maintain standards for the company's ethics, values, and culture through personal actions and influence.
  • Implement and deliver new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate and administer annual benefits open enrollment at the plant level.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment, performance management, retention, and other HR practices, providing regular reports and insights to drive continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR roles, with a proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
