Lead Systems Architect

Position Overview:
The Lead Systems Architect plays a crucial role in the management and enhancement of our internal Digital Evidence Network, ensuring optimal performance and security across various technical infrastructures. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our technical framework, including storage solutions, virtualization, and network administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and design the overall architecture of the Digital Evidence Network and associated administrative networks.
  • Oversee the administration and optimization of storage solutions, including EMC VNX and Dell Compellent technologies.
  • Implement and configure Ethernet network infrastructures, utilizing Cisco technologies for enhanced connectivity and security.
  • Design and manage Fibre Channel fabric networks, ensuring efficient data flow and integrity.
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory across multiple domains and sites, ensuring robust identity management.
  • Oversee virtualized environments using VMware technologies, ensuring efficient resource allocation and performance.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, including SQL Server and SharePoint Services, ensuring seamless operation and updates.
  • Develop and maintain backup and archival strategies to safeguard critical data.
  • Conduct security audits and maintain documentation to comply with NIST and DoD standards.
  • Coordinate hardware procurement and site planning for infrastructure enhancements.
  • Adapt network and system designs to meet evolving organizational needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Storage Area Network administration.

Certifications:
Must possess certification in at least one of the following areas:

  • EMC
  • VMWare
  • Microsoft security or network administration

Security Clearance:
Public Trust clearance is required.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required.
