Imprimis Group has partnered with a leading airline specializing in cargo logistics to find a Software Applications Engineer for their expanding IT and Operations team. The Software Applications Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, management, development, documentation, and technical support of the IT Service Management processes. This position collaborates with IT departments, administrative teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors to create and implement reports, systems, and applications that enhance and streamline business operations. The goal is to ensure exceptional client service and satisfaction across all responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the administration, development, documentation, and technical support of the IT Service Management processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and convert them into measurable and achievable projects.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Support all business applications, overseeing the administration, design, development, maintenance, documentation, and technical support of the IT Service Management processes.
  • Engage in web development projects utilizing .Net Core C# with MSSQL and Entity Framework for backend, and Vue/React for frontend.
  • Migrate legacy Visual Basic applications to .Net Core C# web applications, C# console applications, or C# WPF desktop applications.
  • Possess knowledge of MS Windows operating systems, ODBC, ADO.Net, SQL, HTML, XML, and current web browsers.
  • Design applications from database schema modeling to user flow development and interface mock-ups.
  • Build and invoke web APIs for integration with various organizational systems, including HR and finance management systems.
  • Exhibit a proactive and self-motivated approach, capable of working independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Define detailed business requirements to support various projects.
  • Troubleshoot database performance issues and service outages related to all database interactions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to solve complex problems efficiently and flexibly.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Execution Plans, and SQL Server Profiler.
  • Manage release processes and provide support for SQL Server environments, including Clusters and Database Objects.
  • Document best practices for queries, configurations, database connections, security, and segregation.
  • Understand Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management within the ITIL framework.
  • Plan and implement security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of SharePoint sites and pages.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in client-side user support within a professional setting.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, C#/ASP, JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Experience with .NET frameworks for web, desktop, and console development.
  • Familiarity with user interface design processes.
  • Experience with ORMs like Entity Framework is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and systems (Azure and Office365) is beneficial.
  • Ability to identify and analyze complex problems, developing and evaluating options for effective solutions.
  • Critical thinking skills to assess alternative solutions and approaches.
  • Monitoring performance to implement improvements or corrective actions.
  • Active learning to understand the implications of new information for current and future business needs.
  • Must be a dynamic, self-starting individual capable of working independently or as part of a team.
