POSITION SUMMARY:

The Software Development Engineer plays a vital role within the Application R&D team, focusing on the development of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) applications as part of Aravo's Application Development Lifecycle.

Utilizing an advanced technology platform, the Software Development Engineer will be an integral member of an agile Application Engineering team, tasked with delivering comprehensive, market-relevant applications using the Aravo Platform.

The Aravo Platform encompasses a suite of Third Party/Vendor Management solutions aimed at enhancing compliance and mitigating risk across enterprises. Current applications address areas such as Data Security & Privacy, GDPR Compliance, Vendor Registration, Qualification & Onboarding, Anti-Bribery / Anticorruption, and Responsible Sourcing. This role involves utilizing the Aravo Platform's development tools to create Aravo Applications.

Success in this position requires experience in implementing large-scale, complex business software systems. Strong analytical skills, particularly in developing software-based solutions for intricate business challenges, are essential, along with excellent communication abilities and a commitment to accountability.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Application Product Management, Application Quality, and fellow Application Engineers within an Agile Application Engineering Team to deliver configured applications as outlined by Product Management. Timely and accurate application delivery will be a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be adept at hands-on contributions to process creation and deliverables while working collaboratively with team members to realize the product vision. An intuitive understanding of the needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders is highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in technical design, integration, and configuration of highly customizable SaaS solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of applications utilizing Aravo's TPRM/GRC Platform technology.
  • Collaborate with the team in implementing configuration user stories and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to effectively translate and implement specified business requirements.
  • Coordinate with QA to ensure quality delivery of applications in accordance with Aravo's Quality Process and Software Development Lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and various delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with challenges specific to a SaaS delivery environment.
  • Experience in designing and configuring complex, scalable SaaS solutions based on business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in testing and QA processes for newly delivered applications.
  • Basic knowledge of programming and web technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, React, etc.).
  • Experience in implementing new features and enhancing existing functionalities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.
  • Aptitude for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Team-oriented, motivated, and proactive in delivering results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently towards project outcomes.
  • On-site presence in one of our primary domestic offices with occasional travel required.
