ROLE SUMMARY:

The Software Development Engineer plays a vital role within the Application R&D team, focusing on the development of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) applications as part of Aravo's Application Development Lifecycle.

Utilizing a robust technology platform, the Software Development Engineer will be an integral member of an agile Application Engineering team, tasked with delivering comprehensive, market-ready applications using the Aravo Platform as a development environment.

The Aravo Platform encompasses a suite of Third Party/Vendor Management solutions designed to enhance compliance and mitigate risk across enterprises. Current applications address areas such as Data Security & Privacy, GDPR Compliance, Third-Party/Vendor Registration, Qualification & Onboarding, Anti-Bribery / Anticorruption, and Responsible Sourcing. This position leverages the Aravo Platform's development tools to create Aravo Applications.

Success in this role requires experience in implementing large-scale, complex business software systems, such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Salesforce, or Informatica. Strong analytical skills, particularly in developing software-based solutions for intricate business challenges, are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to accountability for results.

The Software Development Engineer will collaborate closely with Application Product Management, Application Quality, and fellow Application Engineers on an Agile Application Engineering Team to deliver configured applications as specified by Product Management. Timely and accurate application delivery will be a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be adept at hands-on contributions to the creation of processes and deliverables while working closely with team members to collectively realize the product vision. The ability to intuitively understand the needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders is highly valued.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in technical design, integration, and configuration of highly customizable SaaS solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of applications utilizing Aravo's TPRM/GRC Platform technology.
  • Collaborate with the team in implementing configuration user stories and documented technical specifications.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to effectively translate and implement business requirements for specific applications.
  • Coordinate with QA to ensure quality delivery of applications in accordance with Aravo's Quality Process and Application Software Development Lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and various delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with delivery challenges unique to a SaaS environment.
  • Experience in designing and configuring complex, scalable SaaS solutions based on business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in testing and QA processes for newly delivered applications.
  • Basic knowledge of programming and web technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, React, etc.).
  • Experience in implementing new features and enhancing existing functionalities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.
  • Aptitude for fostering client relationships.
  • Team-oriented individual who is proactive and takes initiative to deliver results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of working independently to achieve project outcomes.
  • On-site presence in one of our primary domestic offices is required, with occasional travel.
