Oiles America Corporation, a leader in innovative self-lubricating bearing technologies, is in search of a meticulous and proactive Staff Accountant to enhance our finance department. The successful candidate will primarily concentrate on revenue accounting and the management of accounts receivable (AR) collections. This position is vital for ensuring precise revenue recognition, prompt collections, and fostering robust customer relationships.


Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in revenue accounting and AR collections is essential.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a sense of urgency in task completion.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:


Revenue Accounting:

  • Guarantee accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and evaluate revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze revenue trends and discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Oversee the AR aging report and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Engage with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce bad debt.
  • Prepare and distribute AR reports for management review.

General Accounting Duties:

  • Prepare and submit sales tax returns.
  • Compile and file supporting documentation for internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
