Job Overview

Levy is seeking a highly skilled Catering Manager to join our team. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our catering facilities, managing catering functions, and coordinating with our sales and culinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all catering services meet or exceed guest expectations
  • Present Levy catering services to guests in a professional and engaging manner
  • Communicate client needs through timely and detailed written and verbal communications
  • Develop location-specific food and wine knowledge
  • Initiate contact with clients to secure food and beverage selections
  • Hold team members accountable for delivering exceptional guest service
  • Ensure show quality standards are maintained at all times
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, and team members
  • Regularly obtain feedback from clients and guests to improve operations
  • Support and communicate Company initiatives
  • Respond to and assist with departmental guest service issues
  • Execute all menus, promotions, and programs as outlined by the Director of Catering
  • Achieve daily sales and assigned cost goals
  • Achieve assigned budget goals
  • Employ good safety and sanitation practices
  • Follow and enforce responsible alcohol service policies
  • Execute required daily reporting in a timely manner
  • Complete required department reports and comply with information at month-end closing
  • Ensure team members adhere to Levy Company guidelines
  • Ensure the continual process of revenue development
  • Promote the sale of profitable Levy services
  • Prepare account forecasts and analysis of group sales
  • Ensure the complete billing for client services and receipt of payments
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members
  • Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to ensure open communication
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop team members according to Levy guidelines
  • Display a positive attitude towards team members

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a food and beverage operational position
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
