Job Overview

The Senior Regulatory Control Analyst plays a crucial role within the Regulatory Business Controls team in the Retail Business Enablement & Controls division. This position is dedicated to delivering regulatory assistance and enforcing internal control standards specifically for Lending products, with a focus on Mortgage Lending.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert regulatory guidance on various regulations, including Fair Lending, Home Mortgage Act (HMDA), and Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), particularly in relation to external examinations and internal audits.
  • Drive the implementation of internal control practices and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF).
  • Conduct analytical assessments and administrative support for LOB or ECF processes to ensure compliance with enterprise-wide standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate controls, implementing quality assurance and quality control measures to identify, track, and report issues and improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of lending regulations and processes.
  • Proven ability to think strategically while executing tactical plans.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in interpreting regulatory requirements and summarizing critical information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in fast-paced and complex environments, handling sensitive data with confidentiality.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in risk management or business control.
  • Expertise in mortgage lending regulations, particularly HMDA and ECOA.
  • Experience in process improvement and data analysis.
  • Ability to perform complex analyses and develop independent solutions.
