Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Senior Risk Control Analyst to be part of our Operational Risk Testing team within the Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework. This specialized team is dedicated to executing oversight responsibilities as part of the second line of defense.

The Risk Control Analysts are responsible for conducting thorough evaluations and challenges of operational controls identified through various risk assessment methodologies. These methodologies help pinpoint significant risks and the corresponding controls related to operational risk, including processes, systems, and products. The ORM Testing team provides essential feedback to the first line of defense, facilitating an effective challenge regarding the overall effectiveness of controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments on identified operational risk controls to ensure that risk-taking groups accurately represent their control environments through effective challenges.
  • Ensure that issues are communicated to relevant business areas and appropriately addressed to mitigate outstanding risks or performance deficiencies.
  • Support and perform comprehensive data analysis, including trend analysis, problem identification, and the development and completion of remediation initiatives.
  • Identify emerging risks, opportunities for process enhancements, or areas requiring additional training through the analysis of testing outcomes.
  • Collaborate across organizational boundaries to achieve results while managing competing priorities.
  • Assist in reviewing procedures and updating documentation as necessary.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills; prepare communications (both written and presented) to support findings.
  • Help compile relevant metrics.
  • Provide constructive challenges to the business where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in audit or risk management.
  • At least 1 year of experience in testing or quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Auditing, Finance, Economics, Planning, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
  • 4+ years of experience in audit or risk management.
  • 1+ years of experience in project or process management.
  • Risk Management Certification.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to technology and operational resilience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
