About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to join our Default Prevention and Recovery department as a Recovery Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer and mortgage asset recovery, with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the process for disposing of assets owned by the credit union, including rehabilitations, management, and resale of vehicles, boats, and RVs.
  • Assign accounts to foreclosure attorneys and repossession companies, including voluntary, involuntary, abandoned, and impounded assets.
  • Notify corresponding departments and document once assets have been secured and/or foreclosure has been completed.
  • Process mortgage reinstatements and vehicle redemptions in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Experience in consumer and mortgage asset recovery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to asset recovery.
