We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer to join our team at Umanist Staffing LLC. As a key member of our Battery Manufacturing Production Engineering Division, you will play a critical role in the successful launch of our North America's 1st EV production site for prismatic lithium-ion battery cells - battery modules.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement process plans for battery production lines, working closely with the Manager and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in daily written and verbal reports to Senior Manager level, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Construction Management Group, Technicians, Vendors, General Contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Lead and/or support equipment trials at vendors prior to shipping and on the manufacturing floor after installation, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
- Identify and analyze punchlist items, root causes, and implement countermeasures to ensure smooth production.
- Summarize KPIs, hand over mass production, and provide support for production issues.
- Cross-functional team engagement to discuss open items and key project schedules/milestones.
- Create and maintain detailed schedules for assigned areas, including milestone achievement for manufacturing equipment installation.
- Maintain budgets for assigned areas and complete internal and external training.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a similar technical field.
- Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial strategy planning to the start of mass production.
- Project management experience dealing with capital investments greater than $0.5M.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and 2D and 3D drafting software such as AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, including building facilities and process equipment drawings.
- Ability for business travel, both domestic and international up to 30%.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods as needed, based on project condition and schedule.
