We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Project Manager to lead and manage field teams for the successful delivery of a large-scale project in Liberty, NC. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure contract compliance and maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of the project.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, demonstrating professionalism and a collaborative attitude at all times, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, labor unions, and all project stakeholders.
- Oversee productivity, materials, equipment usage, and overall project performance, ensuring timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Provide technical guidance and manpower planning during the estimating and project planning phases, and conduct thorough reviews of project scope, plans, subcontractor schedules, and specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Champion safety by conducting regular safety meetings, monitoring site conditions, and leading by example to enforce all safety protocols, and implement the project's Safety/Security Program, ensuring the site is secure and compliant with safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and refine the project schedule, coordinating resources and confirming subcontractor capabilities, and lead self-performed work efforts, ensuring timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including as-builts, inspection reports, daily logs, and progress updates, and provide detailed daily field reports to the main office, tracking labor and project progress.
- Handle labor relations, jurisdictional disputes, and assist with all project closeout activities, ensuring a smooth transition and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, and comprehensive understanding of all construction phases, from civil/site work to architectural finishes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, and proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and other safety standards, and experience with project management software such as Primavera, Prolog, and Viewpoint.
- Problem-solving and planning capabilities, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a PM on large industrial projects, managing multi-union crews, and extensive expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Background in managing MEP trades with a solid grasp of construction technology and methods, and certifications in OSHA 30, MIOSHA, First Aid/CPR, and Accident Investigation.
- A four-year degree in engineering or equivalent technical training/experience, and a proven track record in leading complex projects and a commitment to safety and quality.
