Position Overview

The Gym Operations Coordinator oversees the execution of designated recreational activities and provides supervision for facility renters in the gymnasium, collaborating directly with clients and fellow staff as necessary. This role includes reaching out to potential rental groups to furnish them with relevant information.

Key Responsibilities

Hours/Schedule

This part-time role requires evening availability on weekdays and flexibility during weekends.

Specific Duties:
  • Supervise gym rental groups during weekends and weeknights.
  • Oversee members, programs, and activities as assigned.
  • Enforce safety protocols, regulations, and procedures within the facility.
  • Complete a checklist at the start and end of each shift.
  • Respond to inquiries from potential renters by providing comprehensive information about facility availability.
  • Follow up with interested parties, arrange appointments, and coordinate new rental agreements with management.
  • Maintain records of rental agreements, applications, and usage documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator and Children's Ministries Director to align with the facility's objectives.
  • Document and report any accidents or injuries as necessary.
  • Compile statistics and reports related to youth activities.
Compensation: $16.00-$24.00/hr.

Working Conditions

Must be capable of sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as general office and small recreational equipment is required. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures is necessary.
  • Availability to work a minimum number of hours per week is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds for short distances is essential.
  • At least 6 months of experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Experience in customer outreach is advantageous.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures, punctuality, and preparedness for work are crucial.

  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols for clients.
  • Comfortable with setting up and dismantling tables and sports equipment as required.
