Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Gym Rental Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a Gym Rental Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of assigned recreation activities and program supervision of renters in the gymnasium.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Gym Rentals: Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for renters and their guests.
  • Program Supervision: Supervise members, programs, and activities as assigned to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Facility Safety: Enforce facility safety rules, regulations, and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communication: Respond to inquiries from potential groups interested in renting the gym by providing detailed information about the availability of the facility.
  • Rental Agreements: Follow up with parties, schedule appointments, and coordinate new rental agreements with management.
  • Record Keeping: Track rental agreements, applications, documents, and records of usage.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with OC Events Coordinator and Children's Ministries Director to meet the needs and goals of the facility.
  • Accident Reporting: Complete and report all accidents and injuries if necessary.
  • Statistics and Reports: Record statistics and reports for youth activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Required
  • Certification: Must complete certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of hours per week.
  • Lifting Ability: Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds for short distances.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience with customer services.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions

The Gym Rental Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. The position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
