About the Role

USAble Life is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating risk.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental insurance regulation, with experience in analyzing legislation and regulatory requirements, preparing and interpreting legal documents, and reviewing company policies.

As a Regulatory Counsel, you will work closely with business functional areas to ensure compliance and provide legal support to achieve the company's goals and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare regulatory filings and assist with responding to federal and state administrative and regulatory agencies
  • Provide legal support to business functional areas to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
  • Analyze legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Draft contracts, policies, and other documents needed to support the company's strategy, values, and goals
  • Understand and ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and Code of conduct
  • Support corporate governance requirements
  • Research and advise on legislative and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
  • Active member of a US State bar
  • Minimum 1-4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, with a focus on dental insurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences
