About the Role

The Account Manager for Strategic Partnerships (Optical Channel) is a critical position within EssilorLuxottica, responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic partnerships in the independent channel. This role requires a strong understanding of the optical industry and the ability to build relationships with key influencers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships with key partners and provide ongoing support to ensure mutual growth and success.
  • Develop and implement annual partnership and sponsorship programs with territory-based strategic partners.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to identify opportunities for market share growth and recommend strategies to achieve this goal.
  • Liaise between sales teams and strategic partners to maximize opportunities in the field.
  • Operate as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing timely and successful delivery of solutions to meet their needs and objectives.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients and identify areas for improvement to exceed sales quotas.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment and identify opportunities within the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an account management function or similar role in the optical industry.
  • Strong comfort level with public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers.
  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work within the high expectations of the company, team, and vendor partners.
  • Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise.
  • Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments within the company.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Professional selling skills and experience in the optical industry.
