Clinical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing clinical services to our patient population and maintaining specific knowledge of safe laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical analysis in the Department of Laboratories, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Conduct routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, adhering to established protocols.
- Adhere to all quality control policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of quality.
- Proficiently use computer protocols as assigned, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Interact professionally with nursing staff, physicians, support staff, peers, and other members of the hospital community.
- Perform other clinical duties as assigned, including working every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Required:
- NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 0-2 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
- NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 3-5 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
- NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with a minimum 6 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Generalist with a strong background in Hematology and Chemistry.
- ASCP or Equivalent certification.
- Master's Degree.
