Job Summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical analysis and testing in the Department of Laboratories
  • Conduct routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Adhere to quality control policies and procedures
  • Operate computer protocols as assigned
  • Interact with nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel
  • Perform other clinical duties as assigned
Requirements
  • NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility
  • SL-1: 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • SL-2: 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • SL-3: 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Generalist with a strong background in Point of Care Testing
  • ASCP Certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Biological or Life Sciences
  • Master's Degree
