About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mohs Technician to join our team at SB Clinical Practice Management. As a Mohs Technician, you will play a critical role in providing clinical services to our patient population and ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Freeze and embed Mohs surgical specimens using advanced laboratory techniques.
  • Perform frozen microtomy and produce high-quality sections for diagnostic purposes.
  • Stain, coverslip, and assemble frozen sections, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Follow established protocols for laboratory information systems, including Copath, Ventana Benchmark, Ultra, Symphony, and Vantage.
  • Complete routine and special requests for additional levels and recuts, maintaining the highest level of quality and accuracy.
  • Rotate responsibility for laboratory instrumentation and perform routine maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, medical technology, or a related life science field.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and medical providers.
  • NYS License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of histology clinical laboratory experience, including special stains, immunohistochemistry staining, and microtomy.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role require the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and medical providers, as well as the ability to move frequently throughout the office to assist with patient care and laboratory tasks.
