We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a valued member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to our patients. Your expertise in laboratory practices and procedures will ensure the safety of all lab personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical analysis and testing in the Department of Laboratories
- Conduct routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
- Adhere to quality control policies and procedures
- Operate computer protocols as assigned
- Interact with nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel in a professional manner
To be considered for this role, you must possess a NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility. Relevant laboratory experience is also required. Preferred qualifications include a strong background in Hematology and Chemistry, ASCP Certification, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Biological or Life Sciences.
