STATEMENT OF DUTIES

General Overview:
This role entails overseeing the Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR) Program within the Colorado Judicial Branch. Responsibilities include establishing guidelines, policies, and procedures for the efficient resolution of conflicts.

Key Distinctions:
This position is uniquely characterized by its administrative duties, which require a high level of responsibility. The role may report to various senior management positions within the organization.

The Division of Court Services operates under a flexible work arrangement, allowing for a combination of remote and in-person work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating, designing, developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring dispute resolution initiatives statewide.
  • Reviewing and assessing policies, practices, and program performance to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ODR services.
  • Consulting and collaborating with individuals and organizations to provide information and technical support regarding the court's dispute resolution offerings.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports, schedules, and directives based on thorough research and evaluation of ODR-related issues.
  • Establishing procedures to respond to internal and external inquiries for information.
  • Developing standards and policies for state ODR programs in collaboration with the ODR committee.
  • Providing training and updates to various stakeholders.
  • Managing the recruitment and oversight of independent contractors, including performance evaluations and feedback.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role includes lead responsibilities such as scheduling work, instructing team members, reviewing outputs, and participating in hiring and performance evaluation processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, along with four years of experience in management analysis, including one year in a supervisory capacity. Experience in dispute resolution or mediation is preferred, with the possibility of substituting additional relevant experience for formal education.

Physical Demands:
The role typically requires sitting, talking, and hearing, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:
The work environment is generally moderate in noise level, with potential for handling emergency situations and managing multiple inquiries simultaneously.
