Position Overview:

This role involves engaging in various research activities that contribute to the understanding of international studies and related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive mapping of conceptual frameworks and perspectives.
  • Identifying and categorizing historical and contemporary projects based on relevant documentation.
  • Performing survey analysis, conducting interviews, and analyzing archival data concerning immigrant policies at local governmental and quasi-governmental levels.
  • Assisting in conflict engagement and resolution initiatives, including the organization of training sessions and events, as well as managing publicity and communications.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience in research, either academically or professionally.
  • A background in psychology or policy research is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and the ability to follow through on tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current advanced undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the upcoming academic year.
  • Position may allow for some remote work, with a standard office environment.
  • Low to moderate stress levels associated with event planning and a generally quiet work atmosphere.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional movement around the office or campus for retrieving or delivering materials.
  • Assistance in setting up spaces for events may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position qualifies for federal work-study, contingent upon eligibility through the Financial Aid Office. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate with potential for annual increases based on performance. Employees accrue paid leave in accordance with state regulations.
