The State of Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Boiler Inspector I to join our team. As a Boiler Inspector I, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe installation and operation of boilers and pressure vessels by enforcing pertinent codes, statutes, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect new and existing boilers and pressure vessels to identify specific statutory, regulatory, and code violations.
- Assure that noted violations are brought to satisfactory resolution.
- Work independently to set a work schedule and establish priorities when conflicts occur.
- Manage territory and complete consistent inspections according to adopted codes and standards.
- Develop an adequate association between knowledge of adopted codes and standards and practical knowledge of equipment inspected.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
- Work experience to include but not limited to, the installation, operation, and inspection of boilers.
- OR a combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years.
- Required competencies include territory management, scheduling, creating work lists, reviewing violations, and recording inspection findings in a database.
- Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience in HVAC, Boilers, or Plumbing and Heating.
- Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application.
- Must pass a thorough background check prior to employment.
- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license.
- Must be willing to travel to multiple counties.
