Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Manager to lead our Biological Raw Materials team at Eurofins USA BioPharma Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily laboratory activities, ensuring optimum group performance, and providing guidance and support to technicians and analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Daily Laboratory Activities: Ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory, including scheduling, personnel management, and quality control.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Offer technical guidance, support, and leadership to technicians and analysts, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Coordinate Work Projects: Prioritize laboratory workload to meet client requirements, ensuring quality, on-time performance, and Turnaround Time (TAT) goals are met.
  • Maintain Quality Performance Metrics: Conduct routine metrics review and root cause analysis in collaboration with chemists and laboratory management to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and Communicate: Effectively communicate delays and technical issues with management, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Develop Processes and Methods: Design and implement processes and methods to solve technical problems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Equipment Maintenance: Oversee system maintenance and calibration to ensure equipment operates within specified requirements.
  • Train and Mentor: Provide training, mentoring, and supervision to analysts (microbiologists), ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Review Lab Investigations: Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions in collaboration with chemists, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of laboratory investigations and deviations.
  • Perform Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis of data and evaluate the area supervised for microbiological trends, responding appropriately to ensure continuous improvement.
