Position Overview

We are actively seeking Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) who are dedicated to providing exceptional medical assistance in both emergency and non-emergency situations. This role is essential in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine the necessary medical interventions and provide emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, conditions, and treatments while upholding confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment for patient care.
  • Utilize Advanced EMT skills effectively, including communication, medical equipment handling, and adherence to cleaning protocols.
  • Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic regulations pertinent to emergency medical response.
  • Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and public safety teams, as well as fellow staff members.
Additional Duties:
  • Engage in community outreach programs to enhance the organization's image and foster strong community relations.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • National or State Advanced EMT certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS certifications.
  • Driving record that meets company standards.
  • Successful completion of a Physical Agility Test.
Working Conditions:

Availability for shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential for extended hours. Work may involve long periods inside an ambulance, exposure to varying weather conditions, and moderate noise levels. Occasional work in poorly lit environments while in transit.

Physical Demands:

This role requires moderate to extensive periods of sitting, standing, and walking, with some repetitive motion tasks. The ability to lift over 200 lbs. with assistance is necessary, along with skills in pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and climbing stairs. Clear speech and hearing are essential, and the ability to wear a face mask or respirator for extended periods may be required.

Mental Requirements:

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial, with the ability to evaluate various solutions and approaches. The role may involve exposure to high-pressure situations and the need to manage stress effectively.
