Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering radiation therapy to patients in a safe and effective manner. Your role will involve:
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
1. Collaborating with radiation oncologists to develop precise treatment plans that ensure accurate radiation delivery.
2. Utilizing imaging technology to localize treatment areas.
3. Creating individualized patient treatment plans based on localization data.
4. Clearly communicating procedures and expectations to patients.
5. Accurately positioning patients for treatment.
6. Identifying anatomical landmarks and marking treatment entry points.
7. Adhering to National Patient Safety Goals and contributing to enhanced clinical safety.
8. Providing on-call services as required.
9. Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Required Licensure and Certifications
+ Registration with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is mandatory.
+ A valid state license is required.
+ BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training
Comprehensive understanding of radiation oncology techniques, oncologic pathology, anatomy, and treatment planning procedures is essential. Proficiency with departmental equipment and software is also required.
Pay Range
