Position Overview:

Medical Physicist

We are seeking a qualified Medical Physicist to join our esteemed Radiation Oncology Team. This role is pivotal in the application of radiation therapy for cancer treatment and requires a comprehensive understanding of the clinical implications of radiation oncology.

The Medical Physicist will play a crucial role in managing treatment machinery and formulating effective treatment strategies. This position demands proficiency in relevant software applications for treatment planning and quality assurance, ensuring optimal dose distribution and conducting evaluations and research on treatment outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily calibration and dosage assessments
  • Maintenance and calibration of equipment
  • Installation of new technology
  • Leadership in quality assurance initiatives and process enhancements
  • Oversight of research activities and quality assurance protocols within the department

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong capacity for independent problem-solving.



Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Medical Radiation Physics.

Certification requirements include:

  • Board Certification or eligibility in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics or Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology.
