Job Title: Sous Chef

Job Summary:

The Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for overseeing food preparation and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Monitor food costs, inventory, and labor to maintain budgetary control and optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events, menus, and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company standards and policies.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive food preparation experience, or equivalent education and training.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and high standards of quality.
