Emergency Management Case Manager

Location: Buncombe County, North Carolina

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Overview

MPACT Strategic Consulting LLC is seeking a skilled Emergency Management Case Manager to join our team. This role involves providing critical support and guidance to individuals and families affected by emergencies or disasters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, including housing, financial support, health, and social services.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of compliance and program guidelines and requirements.
  • Connect clients with relevant resources, such as housing programs and financial assistance.
  • Collaborate with community agencies, nonprofit organizations, and government entities to ensure clients receive holistic support.
  • Maintain a strong network of local, regional, and national resources to enhance client access to support services.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to access necessary resources and services, and provide guidance through application processes for various programs.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case files, including client progress notes, service plans, and resource allocations.
  • Track and report on client outcomes and case management activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adherence to privacy standards in all client interactions and documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Emergency Management, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of case management experience, preferably in emergency management, disaster response, or social services.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources, public assistance programs, and case management best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
