At Whole Foods Market, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the meat department in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Meat Department: Set and achieve high standards of retail execution, foster a positive work environment, and develop team members to minimize turnover.
  • Customer Service: Model and deliver outstanding customer service, follow through on customer questions, requests, and resolve concerns as needed.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Maximize productivity and efficiency through proper scheduling and work with management to achieve sales, margin, expense, and labor targets.
  • Inventory Management: Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated, train team members on organic standard procedures, and maintain awareness of new products.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 1+ year of leadership experience in the meat retail industry.
  • Customer Service Focus: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Store Operations: Proven ability to manage inventory, labor, and costs effectively.
  • Team Oriented: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and team-building skills.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
