Critical Care Nurse Manager for Disaster Response

Salary: $ 87,500 - 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, depending on qualifications and certifications held by the candidate.
About the Job:
The Rapid Response Registered Nurse will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support disaster response operations and manage temporary facility support services. The nurse will develop and implement protocols and processes to optimize the team's response time, improve patient outcomes, and enhance communication among various departments. They play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of emergency care and maintaining patient safety in high-stress situations.
- Critical Care Expertise: Provides critical care expertise for patients who demonstrate signs of imminent clinical deterioration.
- Medication Administration: Administers medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers.
- Patient Education: Educates patients on managing health conditions, medications, and preventive measures.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience providing critical care preferably within a disaster rapid response environment.
- Travel Nurses with FEMA or HHS experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are not required but preferred.
- Working knowledge of the medical design criteria, the Uniform Facility Criteria (UFC's).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.
