The Cloud Operations Specialist will spearhead intricate initiatives and enhance automation practices across our GCP ecosystem. This position demands extensive knowledge in constructing and overseeing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and monitoring tools, with an emphasis on ensuring optimal uptime, adhering to security protocols, and actively engaging in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process as well as participating in the on-call schedule.

Key Challenges You Will Address
  • Design and oversee large-scale, intricate Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions on GCP.
  • Advance the development of CI/CD workflows.
  • Facilitate the transition to innovative and more effective monitoring tools.
  • Create and refine efficient infrastructure provisioning as code.
  • Guarantee high availability, scalability, and security of all cloud-based services.
  • Lead and engage in RCA processes to effectively identify and resolve issues.
  • Partake in an on-call rotation, addressing critical incidents to sustain system uptime.
  • Offer mentorship and support to junior team members.
About You
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE or cloud engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in GCP, with a comprehensive understanding of cloud architecture, best practices, and IaaS.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Strong background in automation, scripting, and configuration management.
  • Experience in software development is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, engaging in RCA processes, and handling on-call responsibilities.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $142,000 to $177,000 annually, in addition to bonuses and comprehensive benefits. Salary considerations will include your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
