What are we seeking in our Cloud Operations Specialist?


Russell Tobin & Associates, a leader in financial technology solutions, is looking for a Cloud Operations Specialist.

Employment Type: Contract/Onsite

Location: San Diego, CA

Compensation: $70- $82/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production and continuous upkeep of a web platform.
  • Administer cloud infrastructure and system management while collaborating with teams to diagnose and resolve issues as necessary; effective communication skills are essential in this role.
  • Engage with junior and senior engineers, project leaders, and executives, as well as administrative personnel.
  • Proficient in: CSS, HTTP, SSL, HTML, XML, Java, Linux, Amazon Web Services (AWS), DNS, NoSQL technologies, and web application development.
  • Investigate emerging technologies that can enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop highly scalable applications and integrate infrastructure setups with application deployment workflows.
  • Assess, design, and optimize automation scripts and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
  • Proficient coding skills (Python, Java)

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ArgoCD and AWS Kubernetes is advantageous.
