Job Description Overview:

The Boeing Company is seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanic to become an integral member of their Joint and Installation team.

In this role, you will be essential in the assembly and installation of critical components, wiring, and equipment that contribute to the structural integrity of advanced aircraft.

Your attention to detail will be crucial as you interpret complex drawings and work instructions, ensuring you accurately identify your work locations on various aircraft parts and tooling.

Armed with a diverse set of hand tools, parts, and equipment, you will perform your duties with precision, consistently achieving results that surpass expectations.


Key Responsibilities:


Utilize engineering specifications and installation plans to prepare tools and equipment for drilling and fastening operations on complex structures and contoured skin panels, including composite materials.

Employ a variety of hand and machine tools, including precision alignment devices, drilling equipment, and testing instruments.

Utilize both manual and automated tools such as track drillers, shim mills, and various riveting equipment.

Interpret technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications with accuracy.

Apply chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, and coatings as required.

Assemble and install structural components and sub-assemblies, focusing on major wing assemblies, including sealing and plumbing systems, as well as electrical components.

Operate high-impact vibratory tools and various hand tools to ensure quality assembly.

Conduct inspections of your work to ensure quality standards are met and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).

Operate mechanical lifts and perform physical tasks that may include climbing, bending, and lifting.


Basic Qualifications:

1+ year of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools.

1+ year of experience following oral and written instructions.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in aircraft structural and mechanical work.

1+ year of experience in aerospace, automotive, robotics, or a related field, including education and military experience.

Enrollment in a Boeing partnered manufacturing-related academic program is a plus.


Typical Education & Experience:

High School Diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED).


Additional Information:

This position requires 100% onsite work. Candidates must meet Export Control compliance requirements.
