Job Summary

The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations will develop and implement fundraising and partnership initiatives to support the University's priorities. This role will work closely with the Senior Vice President of University Advancement and the Assistant Vice President for Corporate/Foundation and Major Gifts to identify and pursue opportunities with corporations, foundations, and other private organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to secure funding and partnerships from corporate and foundation sources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate and foundation officers, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Collaborate with University offices to identify and pursue opportunities for corporate and foundation support.
  • Write and submit grant proposals and reports to secure funding.
  • Provide excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of development experience, with a significant portion directly related to higher education corporate and foundation relations.
  • Knowledge of fundraising, including grant and proposal writing.
  • Ability to work well with faculty, staff, students, and various offices across the University.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with deans, faculty, administration, and president in program development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the New Jersey corporate and foundation community is desired.

Working Conditions

  • A valid driver's license, accessibility to a car, and ability to travel within the New Jersey/New York area; other travel as needed.
  • Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
