Job Overview

Photon is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Technical Program Manager to lead the success of our technical programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, and making tradeoffs to balance business needs versus technical constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of projects across multiple teams, breaking down complex goals into manageable milestones, writing functional specifications, creating system design, solving complex technical problems, and delivering solutions in a successful, agile, and timely manner.
  • Own communication for delivery across these projects with senior leadership and across partner organizations, owning review documents, newsletters, wiki page development, and other critical deliverables.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs versus technical constraints to move these projects forward quickly.
  • Manage resource allocation for all projects across all technical teams and keep the overall program roadmap balanced.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in an agile and/or scrum environment
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
